How Glasshouse turns House and Senate disclosures into a searchable feed.Last updated: September 20, 2026

Overview

Glasshouse standardizes public STOCK Act periodic transaction reports (PTRs) filed by members of the U.S. House and Senate.

Sources

  • U.S. House Clerk financial disclosure filings
  • U.S. Senate public financial disclosure search

We are not affiliated with either office.

What we ingest

  • Equity buys and sells (and related transaction types when present in the filing)
  • Reported amount ranges (filings rarely state exact dollars)
  • Trade dates and disclosure / notification dates
  • Member, chamber, party, and mapped ticker when available

Timing

Under the STOCK Act, members generally must disclose qualifying trades within 45 days. Glasshouse publishes filings after they appear on the official disclosure sites, typically within a few hours of becoming public, not at trade execution time.

Amounts

Disclosures use ranges (for example $1,001-$15,000). When we show totals, we sum range floors and ceilings separately. We do not invent midpoints or portfolio NAVs.

Price after the trade

Price context compares the stored transaction-day price with a later market close. That move is not a member’s realized return, position size, or proof of intent.

Limits

  • Filings can be amended or corrected
  • Private or unmapped assets may appear in counts but lack priced rows
  • Coverage is only as complete as the public PTR record
  • Data may be delayed, incomplete, or contain errors

Coverage totals

Week-specific research freezes its own coverage window and price snapshot. See each article's methodology section.
